Deanna Barton, ATR-BC is a Board Certified Art Therapist, educator, and artist. She specializes in holding space for diverse individuals to improve mental wellness and begin to heal through art-making and the creative process. Her community-based work includes curating creative experience in the name of social justice, mentoring students of color interested in pursuing careers in expressive therapies, and consulting with organizations to create inclusive and trauma-informed art-based programming. In her private practice, Deanna provides art therapy services for young women of color healing from anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and experiences of race-based stress and trauma. Deanna is the founder of Alluma: Art & Healing, a space that helps people of color process deep pain, and creatively begin to heal through art expression and mark-making.
Deanna believes expressing our creativity can help us find balance and fulfillment in daily life. In a Sesh with Deanna, attendees can expect to awaken their creativity, create art, and gain new insights—art for wellness support groups promote well-being, creativity, and self-expression.
If cancellation happens prior to five business days before the booked event, 100% of the deposit is refunded. Partner will return the funds within 48 hours.
If the cancellation happens post five business day cancellation period leading to a booked event, TeamBuilds will forfeit the booking deposit.
